The Jerusalem Film Festival
The Jerusalem Film Festival has become one of the country's most prestigious events, an annual festival that presents an eclectic program of fiction features, shorts, animations, and documentaries. The festival began in 1984 and has gained popularity every year since the beginning.
The first Jerusalem Film Festival was held in 1984 when over three weeks one hundred films were screened. After entertaining an elite crowd of film connoisseurs, the Jerusalem Film Festival gained the rep of being a prestigious event, growing in popularity every year since then. This year, the Jerusalem Film Festival is celebrating its 24th Anniversary creating an exciting year.
Today the Jerusalem Film Festival has fully developed its character, and offers a ten day long festival which screens around 200 films in a number of programs. There are many different styles and genres present at the Jerusalem Film Festival, so anyone has the chance to find the film to attend that they will enjoy most.
Tickets are on sale for any screening that you may be interested in during the festival which is set to be held on July 7-16. The prices vary, so any vacation budgets can be met. The showings are going to be held at various venues around Jerusalem, with the opening event taking place at Sultan's Pool on July 7.
